Future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed on The Pat McAfee Show Wednesday that he plans on playing for the New York Jets this upcoming NFL season and is waiting for the Green Bay Packers to finalize a trade. The impending trade will end Rodgers' 18-year tenure with the Packers, as well as the multi-season saga in which his future in Green Bay has been in question.

Noted Packers fan Lil Wayne recently appeared on The Cari Champion Show and discussed Rodgers' departure. The five-time Grammy winner seemed to have a 'good riddance' attitude towards his team's soon-to-be former quarterback and compared him to another ex-Packer.

"It wasn't about winning anymore," Wayne said. "He literally turned into Brett Favre. When he was so different, and also said he was nothing like him and also spoke bad on him and said how Brett wasn’t embracing of him and accepting of whatever. You turned right into Brett, man. You wasn't embracing the other guys. You sure didn't embrace Jordan Love. You had a problem embracing the new receivers."

In addition to aging out of Green Bay in a similar fashion to his predecessor, Rodgers' departure also mimics Favre's in the fact that both quarterbacks left for the Jets after their time with the Packers. Aaron Rodgers won four MVPs and one Super Bowl during his time in Green Bay.
