Jim Jones recently teamed up with Hitmaka for the album ‘Back in My Prime,’ a dive into a new sound for the Harlem Diplomat. While the album doesn’t feature any appearances from Dipset, Jones spoke candidly about his friendship with Cam’Ron on the song “Status Update.”
Jones appeared with Cam and the rest of Dipset as they performed with Drake for his show at the Apollo. However, Jones noted he and Cam haven’t been on the same page. The rapper said, “And it’s hard for me & Cam to see eye-to-eye/ I love him, I still love him but when I see him, it’s like hi & bye,” before adding, “It’s kinda crazy, I thought it was ride or die.”
In the past, it was noted by J.R. Writer that there was a feud between Cam and Jim, which resulted in Dipset splitting up. Listen to “Status Update” above.
