In this full-length interview, famous A&R manager Sickamore explains how he started making and selling CDs called "Anthrax on Wax'' during the anthrax scare and how he sold 30 copies to stores in Canal Street and Brooklyn and his experiences with mixtapes and DJs. Sickamore talks about burning CDs for three days to make 100 copies of a mixtape and how DJ Boom inspired him to make instrumental mixtapes. Saigon talks about the support he received from DJs like Vlad when he was trying to make it as a rapper and how some DJs would only play music from artists with record deals.
Later, Sickamore reveals that he got his name from a line in a Notorious B.I.G. song before revealing how he got into the A&R business. This prompts Saigon also discuss what an A&R is and how it is important for the success of an artist. Elsewhere in the discussion, Sickamore talks about the recent wave of rappers who have been faced with RICO cases, such as YSL and their affiliates, before talking about whether or not he would want to work with a rapper who had gang ties. He explains why he would work with gang-affiliated rappers stating that he views himself as a coach who is more than willing to give up-and-coming artists opportunities to change their lives.
Moving along, Sickamore talks about working with Travis Scott on Astroworld and how motivated there were to achieve success at the Grammy's for that project. Lastly, Sickamore discusses his future plans for his artist and his other endeavors in the music business.
