Less than three weeks removed from registering two receptions in Super Bowl LVII as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, Zach Pascal was the victim of a robbery at gunpoint in his native state of Maryland. The incident occurred on Friday morning, around 2:25 am, near his home in the town of Upper Marlboro. According to reports, two perpetrators approached the 28-year-old wide receiver before assaulting him and fleeing the scene with his diamond necklace in their possession. The assailants are still at large. In response to the news, the Philadelphia Eagles released the following statement about the player signed via free agency last March.

“The organization is aware of the matter involving Zach Pascal," a representative for the Philadelphia Eagles wrote. "We have been in contact with Zach and are happy to hear he is doing fine.”

Pascal suffered minor injuries during the assault. For more on this story, stay tuned.
