Since making an impressive debut on Fox's hit series Empire, Serayah has embarked on an impressive run in television that includes key roles on shows such as BFM and Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Shortly after season one of Empire, Serayah met Jacob Latimore at the BET Awards (2016). The coming together of the two singers/actors ignited a highly publicized relationship where the couple often put their love for one another on full display on social media. Jacob, who currently stars as one of the lead actors on Showtimes hit series The Chi, has been noticeably absent from Serayah's social media feed as of late, which prompted her fans to speculate about a possible breakup. So, the 27-year-old actress recently took to Instagram Live to address the rumors head-on.
"People think it is so easy to get on the platform and start talking s**t," Serayah said. "But you wouldn't like that on to you. So I'm just saying, simmer it down. That's it. Like, everybody be nice and worry about their own business."
On Sunday, Joey Bada$$, the co-star of Power Book III: Raising Kanan, took the internet by storm when he posted a photo of himself with Serayah, as the pair cuddled up and gazing into each other's eyes while sitting at a restaurant table. The image sparked dating rumors and all but confirmed the impression that Serayah and Jacob were no longer an item.
