The Florida rapper Splash Zanotti was convicted Tuesday of multiple federal offenses in a kidnapping and home invasion plot where one of his co-defendants allegedly raped a woman.

According to court records, a Florida jury returned guilty verdicts on all charges of a nine-count indictment, including conspiracy, multiple counts of kidnapping, robbery, and possessing guns during the commission of a violent crime.

Splash Zanotti, whose real name is Kejuan Campbell, was charged along with Antonio James Jr., aka Yung Fokiss, and Dionte Alexander-Wilcox, aka Trap Savage. All three men took the case to trial. Closing arguments wrapped up Friday, meaning jurors deliberated for less than a full day before returning guilty verdicts for everyone.

The indictment stems from a two-day ordeal in which the victims were held hostage at their home and assaulted multiple times. Prosecutors say it centered on a dispute over $20,000.

It all started on Oct. 11, 2020, when a 60-year-old woman in Miramar, Florida, answered the door of her home to James asking about her nephew, Anthony (his last name isn't included in court records). As she was telling James she didn't know where her estranged nephew was, Alexander-Wilcox allegedly appeared, wearing a mask, then pulled out a gun and burst into the home.

James and Splash Zanotti allegedly followed him in, pistol-whipped the woman's 66-year-old husband, and claimed Anthony had stolen $20,000 from them. They installed CashApp on the woman's phone and forced her to transfer the money to them, but the transfer attempt failed, prosecutors say.

Next, they allegedly forced the woman to write four $5,000 checks, and Splash Zanotti tried to cash them at an Amscot in Pembroke Pines, but that failed as well. So Splash Zanotti allegedly took the woman to a Publix grocery store and had her use her debit card to order $20,000 in money orders.

Once again, that failed. That's when prosecutors say the three defendants decided to return to the victims' home, eat their food, drink their liquor, and watch TV. The next day, Alexander-Wilcox allegedly forced the woman to perform oral sex on him, then raped her on her bed, while Splash Zanotti kept her husband in another part of the house.

Later that day, the group allegedly made more failed attempts to get the money, including trying to obtain it at the Miami Casino and at a local Walmart. Finally, Splash Zanotti allegedly got the woman to withdraw $21,600 in cash from local ATMs, prosecutors say.

Before leaving the home, the group allegedly filled two suitcases with liquor bottles, clothes, and jewelry. They were arrested based on DNA evidence left on the suitcase, the bed where the rape occurred, and Splash Zanotti's fingerprints left at the house, according to authorities.

Later, when police recovered James' phone, they found a video depicting him holding the woman at gunpoint and other videos depicting James and Alexander-Wilcox counting cash from the robbery while possessing guns.

The three face potential life sentences.
