News broke on Tuesday (February 14) that Playboi Carti was arrested on December 20, 2022 after he allegedly choked out his girlfriend, who was 14 weeks pregnant at the time. Carti's attorney, Brian Steele stated that the rapper was "falsely accused," and he added that he hopes that the case will be dismissed.

Now, Iggy Azalea, who shares a son with Carti, spoke out on Twitter about the incident. She wrote, "Been there. Done that. Warned you."

Iggy added, "Imagine having a pregnant girlfriend and pretending they don’t exist until it comes out you like to abuse them too - & rarely visiting your actual son unless is because you’re running from whatever problems ya got going on in Atlanta & the press with your serial abuse of woman."

Playboi Carti has yet to respond to the claims.

Playboi Carti was arrested for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend after the two argued over a paternity test, according to reports.

An arrest affidavit detailed the situation that went down on December 20, 2022, with the girlfriend claiming Carti, whose real name is Jordan Carter, grabbed her by the throat and held her neck until she could barely breathe. The woman, who was 14 weeks pregnant at the time of the alleged attack, attempted to talk to the rapper about the paternity test, which led to them arguing, then an attack. The pregnant woman ran to her car after a witness tried to break up the scuffle but claimed the rapper attacked her again.

The woman went on to tell police that she thought she was going to die during the incident. Cops on the scene say the pregnant woman had visible injuries from the alleged attack on her body, including her back, neck, and chest.

As a result, Carti was arrested for a felony aggravated assault charge. Despite the arrest, Carti’s lawyer Brian Steel says Carti “was falsely accused.” Steel continued, "Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney‘s office, this case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation.” Stay tuned for more updates.
