During an interview with Spectrum News NY1 in New York, Mayor Eric Adams spoke about a variety of topics, including Kyrie Irving, who was recently traded from the Brooklyn Nets

A question asked by the platform compared the Brooklyn Nets trade and Kyrie Irving to an employee that has given him as much drama as the NBA player gave the Nets. Adams talked candidly about the trade, saying “I will find the team that beats us the most and send him to that team because then we’ll start beating that team.”

Adams noted the trade could be a boost, saying, “It’s about synergy in energy. No matter how much talent you have, your ability to interact with your colleagues is more important. One player can bring down the synergy of the team. And so I would send him to the team that beats us the most so we can start winning better.” As of now, Kyrie Irving is on the roster for the Dallas Mavericks. Watch above.
