Questlove, Black Thought, and The Roots were a part of the celebration performance at the Grammys for 50 years of hip-hop. The drummer spoke about all the people who appeared in the performance and gave insight into who couldn’t make it.
When asked who he wished could have been there, Questlove said, “I’ll give the spoiler alert away. Will Smith was a part of the festivities tonight, but they started shooting ‘Bad Boys 4’ this week.” He continued, "There were a lot of preliminary shots that he had to do, so we had to lose Will.”
Questlove then talked about the time of the performance, saying he initially requested that the tribute be 23 minutes instead of 14. Take a look above.
