Recently, it was revealed that the estate of Juice WRLD sold rights and income streams to Opus Music Group in early 2022. The deal reportedly netted the estate nine figures, according to Billboard.
The deal finds Opus Music Group getting 90 percent of the income from Juice WRLD’s master recordings and 90 percent of his publishing. Because of the deal, the label has access to two posthumous albums, his mixtape with Future, and hundreds of unreleased tracks from the late Chicago rapper.
It was noted that Lil Bibby’s Grade A Productions and Interscope Records retained ownership of Juice WRLD’s masters. Opus Music Group didn’t give any insight into the terms of the deal but went on to say, “To represent the body of work of Juice Wrld – whose cultural significance and generational influence can’t be overstated – is an honor and a responsibility.” Stay tuned for more updates.
