Update 02/05/2023 12:17pm:

Master P recently appeared on the ‘Montgomery & Co’ podcast and talked to star WNBA player Renee Montgomery and her sister and mother. During the conversation, Master P spoke about supporting artists early in their careers, including 50 Cent.

50 Cent recently revealed that Master P paid him for eight shows early in his career, with the rapper only being able to do four shows before P said they would return to them. 50 would eventually go on to do the other four shows after he sold two million records. P elaborated on the support for 50 while on the podcast, saying, “Ya know, the internet will take it and be like ‘Oh, you did this.’ No. I’m the first person to believe in him. That’s basically what you heard. I think a lot of people when they interview people, they don’t say that.”

P didn’t stop there, saying, “Nobody else believed in him. I seen the vision like this guy’s a hard worker. He has a lot of talent. So, I’m going to put my money up to put him on tour — which is a blessing.” The mogul then called out other executives, saying they wouldn’t have done what he did for a rising star like that. “Think about it. Would they say that about Jimmy Iovine or any of these other white executives? They wouldn’t say that,” said P.

The No Limit mogul addressed 50 coming back to do the rest of the dates of their tour later on, saying, “His dates wasn’t available, so by the time he was able to do it, it worked out. That’s why we’re able to be friends today.” Watch above.

During a sit down on Big Boy’s Neighborhood earlier this month, 50 Cent weighed in on the recent quarrel between Master P and his son Romeo and how he didn't consider their issues to run as deeply as those between himself and his son Marquise.

But 50 also discussed Master P's prowess as a businessman and negotiator as he detailed being outnegotiated on the terms for his first tour which came about through Master P.

“What I’ll say about P is he was slick,” 50 Cent explained. “He came, he gave me the money for the eight shows, right? We did four of them. He said, ‘Aw man, something happened we gonna have to take a break. We’ll just come back and do the other four later.’ When I came back to do the other four, I had already sold two million records. He had already paid me so I had to do the shows. He knew! He was like, ‘This muthaf****’s on fire! This is gonna go off.'”
