The future of college and professional basketball appears to be in good hands with a new wave of offspring from former NBA players such as Kiyan Anthony (Carmelo's son), Dajuan Wagner Jr, Scottie Pippen Jr, and Bronny James making a name for themselves in the high school ranks. Back in 1998 and 1999, Rapper Master P enjoyed brief stints on the pre-season rosters of the New Orleans Hornets and the Toronto Raptors. The iconic rapper's career as an NBA player was short-lived, but his son, Mercy Miller, appears to be well-equipped to far exceed the accomplishments of his father on the hardwood floor.

Mercy is quickly establishing himself as a high-flying act and an all-around scorer as a high school basketball player with Notre Dame Sherman Oaks. Last night, during a contest against the Bronny James-led Sierra Canyon Trailblazers, the 6-4 guard turned heads when he baptized a defender with a vicious dunk. Bronny dropped 19 points in the contest, but on this night, his squad was outdueled by Mercy Miller's team 88-61.

Mercy Miller will play college basketball at the University of Houston starting in 2024.
