Previously, a tragic mass shooting went down in Monterey Park, California, during a Lunar New Year celebration. A gunman went to the Star Dance Studio and reportedly began to shoot, which resulted in the deaths of 10 people, along with nine others being wounded. Now, it has been reported that the suspect was pronounced dead. 

72-year-old Huu Can Tran was identified as the suspect and was pronounced dead after a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police found the suspect in a white van parked in Torrance, 30 minutes from where the shooting occurred. 

As of now, no motive has been revealed for the shooting, and authorities have been issued a search warrant to go into the suspect’s home. According to the Los Angeles Times, Tran recently showed up to the Hemet police station accusing his family of trying to poison him. Stay tuned for more updates.

Reports surfaced noting at least ten people were killed this past Saturday night after a mass shooting that took place in Monterey Park, California during a Lunar New Year celebration. It was noted ten other people were injured, and officials say the alleged shooter is now on the run. 

Lt. Patricia Thomas from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the shooting occurred at the Star Dance Studio a little before 10:30 pm. Officials on the scene say a motive for the shooting hasn’t been discovered, and the male suspect is still at large. 

Upon getting on the scene, police revealed they found numerous victims and others in the parking lot. Upon going inside the studio, the cops found more victims. 10 people were declared dead on the scene, while another 10 wounded were taken to nearby hospitals, as noted by the police.
