Previously, 03 Greedo was released from prison on parole. The rapper was serving a 20-year sentence but had a successful parole hearing in 2022 that led to his release. Now, Greedo has taken to Instagram to reveal although he is out of prison, he is currently in a halfway house.
“Yes, I am free from prison, but I am still not completely out. For anyone confused, I am in a halfway house for up to 6 months with a five-minute phone call a week,” said the rapper via Instagram.
He continued, “Where I am, I just want to see my daughter and record music. I wish I could have released a lot more music while I was away. So, I have this chip on my shoulder to just go record n drop at least 12 tapes before my major album and I honestly just don't want to talk to a lot of people yet. ” Greedo then spoke about his plans after being out of prison. “I got a lot I want to clear in my head first. So, if I'm not recording with you or laying with you. I'm not inna rush to talk after damn near 5 years. Just being honest! ” said the rapper. Read his complete statement above.

Previously, it was revealed that 03 Greedo was to be released from prison on Thursday, January 12. The rapper was originally set to be released in 2026 and faced a 300-year sentence for first-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Instead, the rapper was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Since then, Greedo had a successful parole hearing in June 2022 and reportedly completed a program over the last several weeks in exchange for his release. Greedo was released on parole from a Texas prison facility where he was held since 2018. Stay tuned for more updates.

Rapper 03 Greedo is set to be released from prison on Thursday (January 12), according to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
After multiple reports revealed the L.A. rapper's release date, journalist Jeff Weiss, who has been closely following 03 Greedo's case, confirmed the news on Twitter. On Sunday, Weiss tweeted, "Out of respect for Greedo's right to break the news however he wants to break it, I can't officially confirm anything. But this Texas parole info is accurate. 03 should be coming home at some point this week. A 5-year nightmare finally coming to an end."
03 Greedo was facing a 300-year sentence for first-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. However, he was sentenced to 20 years in 2018, and he was originally slated to be released in 2026.
On Monday, 03 Greedo released his new album Free 03, which features Drakeo The Ruler, BlueBucksClan, OHGEESY, and KenTheMan.
