Young Thug and YSL co-defendant Kahlieff Adams face new allegations after being accused of conducting a hand-to-hand drug deal inside of the courtroom. Prosecutors filed a motion Thursday describing the alleged exchange, which took place during jury selection.

Surveillance footage shows Young Thug (real name Jeffery Williams) sitting before Adams approaches his table from behind. The YSL members are then seen shaking hands before law enforcement immediately steps in and reportedly confiscates what was later determined to be a Percocet pill. In their motion, prosecutors claimed courtroom deputies later found Percocet, marijuana, and tobacco on Adams, adding that the contraband was wrapped in plastic and food seasoning.

Young Thug's lawyer, Keith Adams, responded to the allegations and proclaimed his client's innocence.

"His side is the truth," the lawyer said. "The reality is Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom yesterday. One of the codefendants on his way to the restroom attempted to pass something to Mr. Williams, who immediately turned it over to the deputy. He did not know [what Kahlieff Adams handed him]. We don't know what it is, did not know. It was turned over to a deputy right away."

Kahlieff Adams' attorney, Keombre Calland, also released a statement that read, "On behalf of Mr. Adams, these allegations are simply that: mere statements made by the state in an effort to thwart the lengthiness of the jury selection process. Mr. Adams adamantly maintains his innocence and looks forward to the conclusion of this trial."

Keith Adams has since added that Young Thug will not be charged for the alleged incident.

"The State's Motion is replete with factual inaccuracies, embellishments, and attempts to make Mr. Willams responsible for someone else's actions," he stated. "The end result of an investigation into yesterday's incident was that Mr. Williams was not engaged in any wrongdoing. The responsible parties were charged and appeared in court for first appearances this morning."
