Sydney Leday is speaking out for the first time after being shot in the shooting incident that killed Migos rapper Takeoff.

The 24-year-old told KHOU11 that she was celebrating her birthday and Halloween with a group of friends the night of the shooting. Leday said that things were going good until she saw Quavo getting mad while playing in a dice game. She added that she and some friends started running from the scene, but she fell to the ground after feeling a stinging sensation in the back of her head.

Sydney's friends drove her to Memorial Hermann Hospital, 12 minutes away from where she was shot. Leday says she suffered a seizure on the way to the hospital. She then added, "I was in the hospital for about a week. I didn’t really want to be there. I really just can say I’m grateful to be here."

Leday was intubated and in a coma while in the hospital, and she revealed that she didn't know other people were injured, including Takeoff, who died at the scene from his injuries. She added that she replays the incident in her head since coming home, and Leday says she's suffered from panic attacks as a result.
