According to reports, the son of Marvin Gaye—Marvin Gaye III, is under investigation by the police for allegedly pointing a gun at his cousin at his Los Angeles home. From there, the 57-year-old reportedly sped off in his Corvette before the police could get to the residence.
Police responded to a “family dispute” at the Calabasas home of Gaye early Thursday night. Law enforcement sources say Gaye allegedly got into an argument with his wife and cousin, which escalated, resulting in Gaye pulling a gun on his cousin.
From there, sources claim Gaye sped off in his car. Police that arrived on the scene thought Gaye was still in the home, so they asked him to come out. However, neighbors on the scene informed the police Gaye had left already.
Marvin Gaye III has been identified as a suspect in an “assault” report taken by deputies. As of now, an investigation is taking place. Stay tuned for more updates.
