Update 01/13/2023 11:28am:
Bodycam footage of a November incident on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles that led to Odell Beckham Jr. being kicked off surfaced on Thursday (January 12).
In the video, Beckham can be seen being awakened by emergency personnel that were called after the flight crew claimed that OBJ was unresponsive when they asked him to buckle his seatbelt before taking off. The authorities told flight crew that OBJ was fine, but things escalated further when the famed football player got into a back-and-forth with passengers.
At one point, OBJ told a passenger, "You're going to wait 40 minutes, and I'm going get on a private plane home." This interaction was criticized online, with people calling OBJ rude and selfish for his actions, which led to the whole plane being deboarded.
This led to OBJ addressing the situation on Twitter, writing, "can’t address everything in this world, it’s exhausting. Errbody got an opinion on situations they weren’t involved in. All u can do is kno who u truly are. Purell only kills 99.9% of germs…there’s always gon be a lil left over."
He added, "Krazy thing is since the SB. I been minding my own biz, staying out the way. Name ain’t been in nothin , and even during this free agency frenzy it was never me who caused any of that I beeen QUIET chilllin. “They” wrote the stories. Been enjoyin fatherhood and time wit the fam."
OBJ then addressed the back-and-forth with the passenger, and he explained that "if u press that button and bring a certain energy. Do NOT be surprised when u get that same energy back." You can read his statement in full above.

Bodycam footage has surfaced of Odell Beckham Jr. being kicked off an American Airlines flight a couple of months ago after falling asleep before takeoff.
While on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles, Odell fell asleep in his first-class seat without fastening his seatbelt. When he didn't respond to a flight attendant asking him to put on his seatbelt, emergency personnel were called to the plane.
The bodycam footage shows that Odell was awakened by the authorities, who assured flight attendants that the famed football player was fine. A flight staff member could be heard saying, "Crew at this time don't feel comfortable with him flying because they don't know what's going on with him."
The officers responded by stating, "If you don't want him to fly, that's your decision that you guys are going to have to make." Everyone on the flight, including Odell, then deboarded the plane. However, Odell got into an argument with one man, telling him, "I would never ever in my life get off the plane for you, not specifically you. Maybe for everybody else I would get off the plane."
The two men exchanged words, with Odell tell him, "You're going to wait 40 minutes, and I'm going get on a private plane home."
