The long-standing rivalry between Ja Rule and 50 Cent started off personal and violent, with a series of physical altercations and business conflicts between their respective camps. Nowadays, their feud appears to be somewhat sour but also lighthearted and comical at times. 50 Cent recently caught wind of the viral clip of his hit song, "In Da Club," playing during his old rival's live set. To that, the rapper turned award-winning TV producer took to Instagram to make light of the situation.

When Ja Rule and 50 Cent were in their prime, the two NYC-based rappers were engulfed in a rap feud that pitted their record labels against each other and their high-profile colleagues. From a business standpoint, the bitter rivalry between the emcees helped launch 50 Cent and his imprint G-Unit Records into a stratosphere far exceeding Murder Inc. Records. On the flip side, Ja Rule's career trended downward upon the release of 50 Cent's debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin, and one of the LP's most successful singles, "In Da Club."
During a recent live concert, Ja Rule took a rather unpleasant stroll down memory lane when someone played "In Da Club" by 50 Cent. As members of Ja Rule's team desperately tried to get the music to stop blaring over the loudspeakers, the song continued to run its course.
