Cancel culture is a mainstream phenomenon that has engulfed the likes DaBaby, Roseanne Barr, Adam Levine, Dave Chappelle, Kanye West, Johnny Depp (temporarily), Skip Bayless, and more. We now live in a day in age where if an adult makes a crucial mistake, socially, in the present day, or several years prior during their teens, they're condemned publically to the point where forgiveness becomes a far-fetched notion.

Lizzo, an outspoken Grammy-Award-winning rapper from Detroit, recently shared her thoughts on "cancel culture" with a thought-provoking tweet that has been viewed 4 million times since the post was made on Sunday.

"This may be a random time to say this but it’s on my heart.. cancel culture is appropriation," Lizzo wrote. "There was real outrage from truly marginalized people and now it’s become trendy, misused and misdirected. I hope we can phase out of this & focus our outrage on the real problems."
