On December 31st, G-Unit signee Uncle Murda added the latest installment to his annual 'Rap Up' series. His wordplay in 'Rap Up 2022' mentioned the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Gunna, Kanye West, and more. Bishop Lamor Whitehead, the flashy Brooklyn-based religious leader who gained global notoriety after getting robbed of $1 million on camera (last July), was also part of 'Rap Up 2022,' and he didn't appreciate being called out. Therefore, the associate of NYC Major Eric Adams took to Instagram to address Uncle Murda's lyrical content. While the video was somewhat playful, the Bishop clarified why he was offended.
"Let me just say this ya'll, me and Uncle Murda ain't got no beef, me and 50 ain't got no beef...it's all love," Bishop Lamor said. "They rap, they do what they gotta do, however when I listened to the 'Rap up' I said 'Dang Uncle, dang man, Uncle Murda man, I ain't really like that...I'm from Brooklyn; if you're friends with somebody and ya'll have a disagreement, you put on the boxing gloves. I love Uncle Murda, man, he's always been cool; I just don't like the 'Rap Up...Let's get in the ring, man, let's get in the ring..."
This isn't the first time Bishop Lamor has challenged a fellow celebrity to a boxing match after a disagreement. Four months ago, he made a similar proposal to D.L. Hughley.
