Sports medicine doctor Brian Sutterer has built a sizable following breaking down injuries for sports fans. Needless to say, fans are looking for answers on the heels of the chilling scene in Cincinnati where Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest after what appeared to be a routine tackle.

Dr. Sutterer broke down the play and exactly how the impact to Hamlin's chest led to him entering cardiac arrest. He explained how Hamlin could be a textbook example of what is known in the medical field as "Commotio cordis" where blunt force trauma to the chest hits at exactly the right time in the cardiac electrical cycle which causes the heart to go into cardiac arrest.

He also disspelled ideas that vaccinations are related to Hamlin's condition and noted that the blunt force trauma is clearly the catalyst for the horrific occurrence.
