In 2020, Doja Cat addressed a scandal that arose where she was seen in racist alt-right chat rooms and accused of participating in racist conversations in the chat rooms. Doja Cat noted she was in those chat rooms but never participated in racist conversations. Since then, news surfaced noting Doja was seen back in the online chat rooms, and now an alleged incident that went down in the chat room is under criminal investigation.
Footage surfaced of Doja Cat in a Tinychat room, with an unverified participant taking to social media to post the evidence and accusations against the artist. “Not only has Doja Cat been going into this chat room, this is her right here, the owner gave her admin and she bans, kicks and bullies the shit out of me in the chat,” said the participant.
While in the ‘incel’ chat space, it appears Doja Cat received a death threat. The unnamed person in the chat alleged began to be weird with the artist, which prompted Doja Cat to kick him out. The man reportedly popped back in the chat and threatened to kill Doja Cat, allegedly saying he would see her soon. Police noted the man lives outside of California.
As a result of the alleged incident, Doja Cat called the cops, who took a police report for the criminal threat. Because of the incident, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is now investigating.
