According to reports, Shy Glizzy affiliate Taliban Glizzy was arrested by the Secret Service following a traffic stop on December 12.
Taliban Glizzy was under surveillance for over a year, and the surveillance came to a head during the traffic stop. Taliban Glizzy was charged with illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon.
Officers who stopped the suspect say they found a pistol that was openly lying on the floor of his vehicle. Along with that, a 9mm Glock “ghost gun,” a Ruger-57 semi-automatic handgun, an AR-15, and more. Officers also found $17,000 in cash, a Perpetual Rolex watch, and diamond earrings.
Court documents noted that prosecutors asked for Taliban Glizzy to be held in custody until his trial date, which hasn’t been set yet. Prosecutors went on to say, “The government retains the ultimate burden of persuasion by clear and convincing evidence that the defendant presents a danger to the community and by the lesser standard of a preponderance of the evidence that the defendant presents a risk of flight—even where it is presumed that those standards are satisfied.” Stay tuned for more updates.
