Tory Lanez has been convicted of all charges for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

"A jury has convicted Tory Lanez of all three charges for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion," tweeted Law Crime News' senior reporter, Meghann Cuniff. "A crazy and downright scary scene in the courtroom as his father and stepmother screamed about wicks injustice."

Megan Thee Stallion accused Lanez of shooting her in the foot during an argument after the pair left a party at Kylie Jenner’s home in July 2020. As a result, Lanez was charged with assault with a semi-automatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. Earlier this month, a third charge for discharging a firearm with gross negligence was added. Tory Lanez pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The trial delivered a number of bombshells and twists. During opening statements in the case, it was revealed that both Tory and Megan's friend, Kelsey Nicole Harris, tested positive for gun residue after the shooting incident in 2020. Then, the prosecution revealed that Harris would testify in the trial that she saw Tory shoot Megan. However, after Kelsey was granted immunity, she claimed she lied to prosecutors in an earlier interview and claimed she didn't remember much of the incident.

Mgdesyan also began his opening statement by claiming that the case was fueled by jealousy between Kelsey and Megan, who Mgdesyan claims slept with Tory, DaBaby, and NBA star Ben Simmons. Mgdesyan also addressed a phone call of Tory apologizing to kelsey, which he says was because Tory cheated on her with Megan.

Closing arguments were made in Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez's trial this past Thursday. Tory's attorney, George Mgdesyan, stated that the case was about sex, not a shooting, while Deputy DA Kathy Ta displayed a slideshow labeled "Not about" with "Anyone's sex life," "The party," and "LAPD" listed underneath.

During closing arguments, Ta also singled out Kelsey Nicole and called her a "terrible liar" for switching up her story during her testimony. She also targeted Tory Lanez and said he "had a massive ego and he could not handle being disrespected" by Megan Thee Stallion, who she said was more successful and famous than him.

Following the verdict, Tory Lanez was reportedly handcuffed and taken to jail. He faces 22 years in state prison.
