Update 12/16/2022 1:22pm:

Earlier this week, the longtime DJ for the ‘Ellen’ show—Stephen ’tWitch’ Boss committed suicide at 40. The DJ ended his life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. While details were limited on what happened, news surfaced revealing Boss left a suicide note ahead of his death.

Law enforcement sources that spoke to TMZ said the note left on the scene of the incident featured a vague reference to challenges the DJ faced in the past. Investigators noted Boss traveled in an Uber from his home to a motel less than a mile from his place and put his phone in airplane mode so no one, including his wife Allison Holker, could contact him.

Holker spoke on the loss of her husband, saying: “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory.” Stay tuned for more updates.
