Recently, Brittney Griner was released from a Russian prison as part of a prisoner swap between Russia and the United States. Now, Kyrie Irving has spoken on Griner’s release, sending his message specifically to Griner.
Irving was very vocal about the release of Griner while she was incarcerated overseas, calling out Joe Biden and the White House ahead of a Brooklyn Nets game. Via Twitter, Irving said, “Welcome Home BG! Thank you for exemplifying what a true Warrior spirit looks like. You’re forever loved by so many unconditionally.” Take a look above.
