In the first three weeks of October, Kanye West debuted a 'White Lives Matter T-Shirt alongside Cadence Owens before appearing as a guest on well-known platforms like Drink Champs and Tucker Carlson Live. His actions and highly publicized antisemitic verbiage within that timeframe largely contributed to his net worth falling from $1.8 billion to $400 and his low approval rating. In the weeks that followed, Kanye gained a slew of sympathizers such as Nick Fuentes, Milo Yiannopoulos, and critics like Howard Stern, Elon Musk, and President Joe Biden. Now, his choice of wording has landed on the radar of an MMA fighter who is none too pleased with what he's seen.
Following his defeat of Genaro Valdez at UFC Orlando, Natan Levy, a UFC fighter of Israeli descent, MMA Fighting asked him to share his feelings about the antisemitic statements that Kanye has made throughout the past two months.
“I think life is too short to hate, so to all these hateful people it sucks for you, I pity you,” Levy said. “And other than that, Kanye West, if you’ve got a problem with me or my people, come see me, bro.”
The reporter for MMA Fighting then asked Levy a follow-up question about whether or not he believes that the uptick in antisemitism on social media is due to Kanye's influence and remarks.
“Trust me, I’ve noticed it,” Levy said. “I get a lot of lovely DMs all the time. I am Jewish, it’s what I am, it’s [the way] I was born. I’m very proud of it, and I will fight for it. I will fight for my people in the octagon or wherever need be, and I will not stand for any antisemitism. I won’t stand for any racism, not around me. Don’t bully anyone around me, or I’m going to find you.”
