JR Writer spoke to VladTV about being locked up before, and revealed to Shawn Prez when he got into the streets. JR said his upbringing in Harlem caused him to have to adapt to the environment, and he ended up doing time. The result of the time caused him to straighten up and actually focus on what was important in life. The artist then told a story about how a security guard at his school predicted he would end up doing three stints in prison. JR then talked about how he met The Diplomats, noting Hell Rell was the first person he crossed paths with.
