On Thursday, an award-winning actor by the name of O Yeong-su (78) was indicted in his native country of South Korea for alleged sexual misconduct charges. According to the prosecutor involved in the case, the fan-favorite from Squid Game on Netflix reportedly touched a female improperly about five years ago. However, O Yeong-su denies claims, indicating that he performed a kind gesture that was taken out of context.
"I just held her hand to guide the way around the lake. I apologized because [the woman] said she wouldn't make a fuss about it but it doesn't mean that I admit the charges," O Yeong-su said in the statement.
Initially, the case was closed during the first quarter of 2022, but after the accuser filed for an appeal multiple times, it was reopened.
