According to reports, a white Mississippi father and his son have been charged with attempted murder in a shooting earlier this year targeting a black FedEx driver.

Brandon Case and his son Gregory Case were indicted on Friday for the shooting incident. The victim, 24-year-old  D’Monterrio Gibson said he was in full uniform when dropping off the package in the Brookhaven area. He said that's when he noticed Case and his son.

“There’s another guy standing in the middle of the street pointing a gun at my windows and signaling to me to stop with his hands, as well as mouthing the word, ‘Stop,’” Gibson recalled. “I shake my head no, I hide behind the steering wheel, and I swerve around him as well. As I swerve around him, he starts firing shots into my vehicle.”

The Cases now face multiple charges, including first-degree attempted murder, conspiracy to commit the crime of murder, and shooting into a motor vehicle.
