The death of Migos rapper Takeoff hit the hip-hop world hard, including for Desiigner, who tearfully reacted to the news on Instagram Live and announced that he was retiring from rap. 

It's been nearly a month since Takeoff's passing, and on Wednesday (November 23) night, Desiigner took to Instagram Stories to reveal that he's not retiring from making music. He wrote, "I'm not gonna stop [.] music is my therapy [.] I lost a lot of bros this year [.] we all say things out of emotions but the truth is in me being able to let out a good cry [helped] me see things more clearer now [.] I'm excited to keep sharing the gift of music that God gave me to y'all."

Desiigner took to Instagram Live to react to the tragic news of Migos rapper Takeoff being reportedly shot and killed in Houston. Desiigner was close with the Migos camp and has collaborated with Quavo on several projects, including the GOOD Music compilation "Champions" and Rich the Kid's "Going."  

While speaking to viewers, Desiigner was crying, and he stated that he couldn't call Offset or Quavo to speak about the news. The "Timmy Turner" rapper then followed up by stating that he was "done" with the rap game, and he shared another post on his Stories that read, "I'm done rap."
