Kyrie Irving has been at the center of NBA controversy with his much-discussed repost of a documentary containing antisemitic tropes and misinformation. After being suspended and going through a checklist of items to return to the floor, Irving addressed the media on Sunday following his first game since being reinstated.

However, the exchange with media turned contentious as he was continuously questioned about the Hebrew Israelites who marched in support of him in attempt to get Irving to disavow the group. Instead, Irving kept his answers quite vanilla. He did, however, state at one point during his media availability that "I would like to be on a platform where I could openly share how I feel without being harshly criticized or being labeled or dealing with outside perceptions that have nothing to do with me.”
