Update 11/20/2022 12:35pm:

Previously, Elon Musk took to Twitter and created a poll asking users if he should “Reinstate former President Trump” on the social media platform. Now, it appears Musk has moved forward with reinstating the Twitter account of Donald Trump.

Trump was previously banned from Twitter following the January 6 Capitol riots. According to Elon Musk, over 134 million people saw the poll, despite only 15 million people participating. Musk tweeted: “The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”

The former president addressed his Twitter reinstatement while speaking at a Republican Jewish Coalition conference in Las Vegas. Trump noted that despite the move by Musk, he is staying on his own Truth Social platform.

“They have a lot of problems at Twitter. You see what’s going on. It may make it, it may not make it, but the problems are incredible, and the engagements are negative. But Truth Social has taken the place for a lot of people, and I don’t see them going back onto Twitter,” said Trump. Stay tuned for more updates.

Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter has found many employees making mass exits and users taking a leave from the website. However, that hasn’t stopped Musk from asking users questions about things he should or shouldn’t do for the social media platform. Recently,

Musk hopped on Twitter and created a poll where he asked users if he should “Reinstate former President Trump.”

On Friday, when the poll went up, the votes were around 500,000, with 63 percent in favor of reinstating Trump’s account. Since then, over 12 million people voted on the poll, with 47.7 percent saying no to the reinstatement.

Previously, Donald Trump was banned by the platform due to the aftermath of the January 6 Capitol riot. Take a look above.
