According to reports, the man who is accused of threatening to crash a plane into a Misssissppi Walmart has been found dead while in federal custody.

Cory Patterson, 29, was reportedly found unresponsive on Monday at Federal Detention Center Miami where he was being held before trial. Facility staffers “initiated life-saving measures” immediately after discovering him but Patterson was prononuced dead at the prison.

CNN reports that Patterson was sent to the Miami facility to receive psychological evaluation on Nov. 10 and was dead just four days later.

While there still needs to be an official cause-of-death reported, Patterson's attorney Tony Farese said his client died by suicide.
