Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen’s split has left a lot up in the air after the divorce found the former couple splitting $770 million in assets down the middle. However, it was reported that a charity started by the couple was caught up in that split, and public records show the foundation only .1% of their worth to charity from 2007 to 2019.

According to tax filings, the Luz Foundation reportedly gave out $300 to an environmental group in Costa Rica in 2018, $1000 to the Challenged Athletes Foundation, and $900 to the World Wildlife Fund. The foundation’s donations have mostly gone to meditation and yoga groups, with Luz donating $80,000 of their $350,000 budget to the Pointing Out the Great Way Foundation. The Massachusetts-based charity promotes Indo-Tibetan meditation.

From 2007 to 2019, the Luz Foundation donated $640,402 to groups, totaling .00008 of the couple’s net worth. The Luz Foundation was started in 2007 to provide grants and support young girls, according to Bündchen. However, the foundation received a tax-exempt status three years later. Stay tuned for more updates.
