Megan Thee Stallion is facing more legal issues with her former label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, and distributor, 300 Entertainment. The rapper recently filed legal documents to get a temporary restraining order against both parties, claiming that 1501 made gestures to stop Meg from using her music at the upcoming American Music Awards.
A Texas judge reportedly granted the restraining order to the rapper, although it wasn’t revealed what 1501 Entertainment or 300 Entertainment did or said to allegedly mess with Meg and the AMAs. The court order noted that Megan “provided evidence” that 1501 “recently engaged and will continue to engage in threatening and retaliatory behavior that will irreparably harm” the rapper’s career. Despite that, the judge blocked 300 and 1501 Certified from interfering with Megan’s music being used on the AMAs.
Both 1501 and 300 are prohibited from “preventing and blocking the use and exploitation” of Megan’s music in promotional content for the American Music Awards. Along with that, a hearing was set on the rapper’s restraining order request for November 22.
