Two military airplanes from World War II crashed mid-air, resulting in the death of six people. The planes were flying as part of a Veteran’s Day air show at the Dallas Executive Airport this past Saturday.

Footage from the airshow uploaded by onlookers captured the planes crossing paths, connecting, falling to the ground, and bursting into flames. According to reports, the incident happened around 1:20 PM, and 4000 to 6000 people were in attendance at the Commemorative Air Force’s Wings Over Dallas WWII Airshow.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a statement following the crash: "A Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra collided and crashed at the Wings Over Dallas Airshow at Dallas Executive Airport in Texas around 1:20 p.m. local time Saturday. At this time, it is unknown how many people were on both aircraft.”

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson noted the Dallas Fire-Rescue were detonating the rest of the pyrotechnics from Saturday’s airshow around 2 PM on Sunday. Stay tuned for more updates.
