According to reports, Chicago rapper Lil Zay Osama has been released from jail in New York stemming from him allegedly leaving a gun in an Uber.
Lil Zay Osama was arrested earlier this month after he took the Uber from a hotel in Manhattan to the borough of Queens where he inadvertently left behind the retrofitted firearm. The Uber driver claims to have noticed the weapon when Dukes entered the vehicle and saw that it was still in the car when he dropped off the Chicago rapper in Queens.
The Chicagoan was charged with possession of a machine gun and being a felon in possession of a firearm and faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted on both charges.
Lil Zay Osama's bond conditions have not yet been disclosed.
