Kanye West reportedly was “enamored by Adolf Hitler,” according to an executive and former employee of the rapper, saying West spoke “about all the great things he and the Nazi Party achieved for the German people.” The news arrived after West was dropped from CAA as a client and from Adidas over anti-Semitic comments. It appears West isn’t the only person who praises Hitler, as his associate Candace Owens praised policies from the dictator, saying they were “fine.”

The controversial West associate was seen speaking at an event in 2019, giving her take on ‘nationalism.’ Owens said, “I think that the definition gets poisoned by elitists that actually want globalism. Globalism is what I don’t want, so when you think about whenever we say nationalism, the first thing people think about, at least in America, is Hitler.”

The polarizing political figure then went in-depth on her point about Hitler, saying, “He was a national socialist. But if Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, okay, fine. The problem is that he wanted, he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize.” She continued, “He wanted everybody to be German, everybody to be speaking German. Everybody to look a different way. To me, that’s not nationalism. In thinking about how we could go bad down the line, I don’t really have an issue with nationalism. I really don’t. I think that it’s okay.”

Owens was ultimately forced to “resign” as the communications director for Turning Point USA after calls from members of the organization asked for the figure to step down following her Hitler comments. Watch above.
