According to reports, a Florida man was arrested for poisoning his co-worker's Pepsi because he thought the person was "difficult to work with."

Authorities say a Dollar General worker, Jerome Ellis, 48, and his co-worker got into a heated argument before the co-worker went to the restroom immediately after the exchange. That's when they say Ellis poisoned the man's Pepsi with bleach. He told deputies when he returned from the restroom and took a sip of his drink that he believed, “the Pepsi had bleach or cleaning supplies poured into it by the taste and smell it projected.”

He then called 911 and alerted management. Upon review of the surveillance footage, deputies determined it showed Ellis pour bleach into the Pepsi can, while the victim was in the restroom. Following which, the video then showed the victim take a sip from the can and make a “distraught face that something was wrong with the drink.”

When questioned by police, Ellis denied having an argument with the victim and that he accidentally spilled the bleach.

Ellis was arrested and charged with poisoning food or water and tampering with evidence.
