According to Women's Wear Daily, Balenciaga has ended their relationship with Kanye West amid controversial statements he's made on social media. French luxury group Kering, who owns Balenciaga, told WWD, "Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist."

This comes after Kanye released the Yeezy Gap engineered by Balenciaga collection earlier this year, and also made his runway debut as part of Balenciaga’s Summer 23 show in Paris.

Amid his work with the fashion house, Kanye has stirred controversy online by stating that he was going "death con 3 on Jewish people." When asked about the tweet during an interview with Piers Morgan, Kanye stated that he "fought fire with fire." He also said he was "sorry for the people that I hurt with the confusion that I caused," adding, "I'm sorry for the families of the people that had nothing to do with the trauma that I have been through."
