Akon recently sat down for an interview with Bootleg Kev, where he was asked about his hairline. Kev explained that he shaves his head twice a week, and he wanted to know where Akon went to get his hairline done.
Akon then revealed that he went to Turkey, as he explained, "In the beginning my whole front was loose." When asked if the procedure was painful, he explained, "Nah, no. The painful part is the beginning when they gotta numb you up. That numbing ain’t no joke. They stick a needle like this big, non-stop."
Pleased with the result, Akon stated, "It looks amazing. I love it." Kev then joked that Tory Lanez should've gone to the same doctor, and Akon said he told the "Say It" artist the same thing.
Akon also revealed in the sit-down that he paid $7,500 for the procedure in Turkey, while it would've cost $50,000 in the U.S. He then stated, "Here they’re overcharging. Anything related to health care of any kind of medical procedure, America tags on ten times."
