Amid reports that Westbrook intentionally snubbed a huddle that his Lakers teammate Patrick Beverley held during a preseason game against the Timberwolves on Wednesday (October 12). There were also rumors that Westbrook ignored his teammates during player introductions and then ran to the bench alone, which he addressed on Thursday.
Westbrook stated, "Pregame, I've been doing that since I've been in the league for years, man. I think they just cut the video and obviously the internet is going to take it and run with whatever they need to run with. But, I've been doing the same ritual since I've been in the league."
Following the onset of rumors, Paul George seemed to tweet support to Westbrook in a message that read, "Keep ya sanity Brodie!! You one of the best and it ain’t stamped enough!!" Westbrook has yet to respond.
