More trouble has come for Antonio Brown, as the NFL player was sued in a suit filed this past Wednesday (October 5) in a Florida court. Brown was accused of breach of contract and defamation after he signed an “exclusive artist agreement” with Secure the Bag Entertainment, a company based out of Tampa Bay.

The lawsuit also includes accusations of Brown trying to get STB for more money, $178,000, through submitting “fraudulent” expenses for reimbursement. Brown allegedly sold STB owner Ryan Kane a fake Richard Millie watch for $160,000 and made threatening comments toward STB executives as well.

Kane spoke on the issues with Brown, saying, “Now I know how the Raiders felt when they paid him, and he never played a single game for them.” He continued saying, “I gave him … a huge advance and an opportunity to make money legitimately, and all he did was walk off the field.” According to Kane, he gave Brown a $150,000 advance to sign with his label, and it was noted they were both hype to shoot a video for Brown’s song “Cracked,” featuring Lil Wayne. However, things went left following the signing. Brown allegedly told Kane Lil Wayne wanted “$250,000 in cash” and that he only gets the money from the football player.

Kane reportedly told Brown he was stopping payment after having reservations. Kane said he spoke to Wayne’s representatives and said Wayne was only expecting to get $150,000 and never asked Brown to get money for Wayne. Kane’s suit goes on to allege that Brown tried to trick the label for the $100,000 that would have been left over for himself.

The suit asks for unspecified damages, and Kane spoke about Brown’s music career moving forward. “Everyone is saying his rap career is blossoming, but his rap career is dead,” said the STB exec. He continued saying, “I own the rights to all his music. He can’t release any music for the rest of his life unless I approve it.” Stay tuned for more updates.
