Cardi B and JT of the City Girls are engaged in a nasty back-and-forth on Twitter on Monday. Things started after Cardi praised GloRilla for debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard charts with their collaboration for "Tomorrow 2."
A Twitter user helped spark the exchange after tweeting at JT, " “JT Akbar, BIA & Katie bandz after seeing Glorilla get a top 10 hit without doing all the d*** riding and extra s***." This caught JT's attention. “im not like that at alllll,” she wrote. “I been doing remixes & never got credited ON A CHART BUT they get sung word for word and help push the original songs as intended unlike y’all well I can’t even say y’all cause you don’t rap, you TWEET! Congratulations Glo & stream FNF remix AND QUEENMIX.”
Not long after, Cardi retweets Chart Data showing off her feat of securing a top 10 spot on the Hot 100 charts for the last six years. “And my records live in the top ten,” Cardi tweeted.
This eventually led to the two exchanging words directly which devolved into throwing insults at one another. At one point, JT tweeted, "Cardi you go fetch a real talent! We DM’ing why you come back here to put on a show for these KIDS?"
In response, Cardi said "So wait, me and you talking in the DM woman to woman, but YOU take it to your timeline and throw shots calling me a bully and a wiener… Why you playing dumb? And YOU talking about a talent?! haaaaa! You forgot P tried to put me on wit your writer?"
Cardi later tweeted that the two were hashing out things in the DM's and she would no longer address it on her timeline. Needless to say, this doesn't seem to be over.
