Earlier this year, rumors surfaced about a romantic relationship between Chloe Bailey and Gunna. The rumors heated up after the two appeared at an Atlanta Hawks game together. Since then, Gunna has faced more troubling times, as the rapper was named in a massive indictment involving members of Young Thug’s YSL label. Bailey recently hopped on Twitter Spaces and spoke about Gunna, revealing that her next single is about the rapper and that she wrote it following ‘The Breakfast Club’ interview.
Bailey gave fans a glimpse of what was coming for her musically and started by saying, “Imma tell y’all a little secret about ‘For The Night.’” She continued, "I might regret saying this, but hey, maybe it’ll help f**king streams. I don’t even think he knows this! I wrote ‘For The Night’ about Gunna.”
From there, Bailey doubled down, saying, “Yep, I said it, b**ches. I said it. So, you know. Yep. I wrote that song after The Breakfast Club interview I believe.” Bailey then addressed why she hadn’t spoken publicly about Gunna before this moment, saying, “I’m a songwriter. I write my own s**t, I get inspired by the smallest things, so, kiss my ass. Talkin’ bout why don’t I say free this, or free that? Kiss my ass, I support in real life. Thank you!” Listen above.
