Birdman took to Instagram to share a photo of Hot Boys rapper B.G. in prison, which he captioned, "Be home in minute @new_bghollyhood." There's no word on when B.G. will officially be released from prison, but he has less than two years left on his federal prison sentence for gun possession and witness tampering.

This comes after B.G. was denied a release from prison back in July, when he wrote a letter for compassionate release. His handwritten letter included support letters from Birdman, Slim, Wendy Day, Gary Payton Sr., among other notable figures.

In Birdman's letter, he stated that B.G. is "like a son" to him, adding, "He is not only a generational artist, but he's got a platform and the chance to share his experience to better today's young men who need to hear what he's got to say. When he is released, I know he will give back and use what he's gone through to help as many people as possible."
