Update 09/21/2022 3:40pm:

According to reports, the unknown accuser who alleged that Aries Spears and Tiffany Haddish used her in an inappropriate manner for a film shoot, along with her brother, when they were just kids, has retracted her claim. Thus, the case has been dismissed. Initially, the former accuser filed the lawsuit against Spears and Haddish because they reportedly were coerced into simulating oral on-camera. But now, she's singing a slightly different tune regarding the matter.

"My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years and we now know that she would never harm me or my brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm us," the former accuser said. "We wish Tiffany the best and are glad that we can all put this behind us."

In the wake of child abuse accusations against Aries Spears and Tiffany Haddish went public, the former had yet to address the matters like Haddish did in a statement earlier this week. Haddish wrote via Instagram:

“I know people have a bunch of questions. I get it. I’m right there with you. Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing legal case, there’s very little that I can say right now, [...] But clearly, while this sketch was intended to be comedic, it wasn’t funny at all – and I deeply regret having agreed to act in it.”

On Wednesday, Spears broke his silence regarding the matter and called it extortion. While largely reiterating a similar sentiment as Haddish, Aries said “Listen, this is an extortion case,” adding, “This is a shakedown.”

“We won’t be shaken down," he declared, referring to himself and Haddish.
