According to reports, ASAP Rocky affiliate and rapper Smooky MarGielaa was arrested in connection to a shooting that went down in Queens, New York, earlier this summer. The rapper was charged with 2nd degree attempted murder.

The rapper, whose real name is Toumani Diabaté, allegedly got into an argument around 2 a.m., which resulted in one person allegedly aiming a gun at another person. The NYPD is claiming the person aiming the gun was the rapper.

Police say once the weapon was pointed, Smooky ended up “firing multiple shots at the unidentified individual,” resulting in the person being hit. From there, the rapper allegedly passed his gun to a third party who ran from the scene. The rapper then followed suit, fleeing from the scene as well.

If convicted, MarGielaa is facing up to 25 years in prison. As of now, the 20-year-old hasn’t released a statement related to the arrest.
